eyewa is looking for Optical Technician/ Optician as below details:
Responsibility:
Lens Cutting: Utilize lens cutting and edging equipment to shape and size prescription
lenses accurately.
Frame Assembly: Assemble eyeglass frames ensuring proper alignment and fit according
to customer prescriptions and preferences.
Adjustments: Perform adjustments and repairs on eyeglasses to ensure comfort and
proper vision for customers.
Lens Insertion: Carefully insert lenses into frames taking into account the specific
requirements of each prescription.
Quality Control: Inspect finished eyewear products to ensure they meet quality
standards and prescription accuracy.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of eyeglass frames lenses and
related optical supplies.
Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their eyewear needs and
provide guidance on frame selection and adjustments.
Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate optical equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and
performance.
RecordKeeping: Maintain accurate records of customer orders prescriptions and
inventory.
Requirements/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
35 years proven experience as an Optical Technician or in a similar role.
Familiarity with optical equipment and tools including lens cutting and frame
adjustment instruments.
Strong attention to detail and precision in handling delicate eyewear components.
Excellent handeye coordination and manual dexterity.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
Knowledge of optical principles and lens types is advantageous.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Ability to work in a fastpaced retail setting.
