The Depot Manager will effectively manage & oversee the operations of the assigned bus depot and stations ensuring efficiency safety & quality service while meeting operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve depot efficiency & reduce costs by conducting analysis streamlining processes and continuously monitoring progress
- Oversee bus station performance ensuring operational objectives are met through setting key performance indicators monitoring data conducting inspections and providing feedback
- Manage the depot & bus station budgets effectively by developing and managing budgets prioritizing resource allocation monitoring expenditure & ensuring compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations & quality standards by conducting audits implementing protocols monitoring incidents and collaborating with regulatory bodies
- Supervise depot staff providing guidance and support through clear direction performance evaluations training and fostering a positive work environment
- Coordinate bus scheduling and dispatching to optimize service delivery by collaborating with planners monitoring realtime data communicating with drivers and analyzing trends
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders through effective communication responding to concerns developing customer service initiatives and fostering partnerships
- Implement quality control measures for maintenance standards by enforcing protocols conducting inspections monitoring records and collaborating with maintenance staff
- Develop contingency plans for disruptions or emergencies by identifying risks collaborating with emergency services developing communication plans and conducting drills
- Analyze performance data to inform decisionmaking by collecting and analyzing key performance indicators identifying trends developing reports and collaborating on datadriven decisions
Minimum Qualifications Certificates & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management Business Administration or related field
- 5 years of experience in public transportation management with expertise in depot or station management
- Certified Transportation Manager (CTM) Occupational Health and Safety Certification (OHSC) or equivalent is a plus
- Strong understanding of Operational Management Strategic Planning and Leadership & Team Management
