Job Title: Senior Accountant
Company Name: BitBang
Location: El Sheikh Zaid Al Jizah Egypt
Job Type: Fulltime/ Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts bank statements and intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy.
- MonthEnd & YearEnd Closing: Oversee and assist in the timely completion of monthend and yearend closing processes including journal entries accruals and adjustments.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax filings (e.g. VAT income tax) and support audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts providing variance analysis and recommendations for improvements.
- Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and assist in the development of policies to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure accurate and timely delivery of audit requests.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or tools.
- Team Supervision: Mentor and guide junior accounting staff ensuring timely completion of tasks and professional development.
- Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support management in decisionmaking.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA ACCA or equivalent certification preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks) and MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience with tax filings audits and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with international accounting practices and multicurrency transactions.
