The role involves meticulous verification of figures, postings, and documents to ensure accurate entry, mathematical precision, and adherence to proper coding standards. Candidates will be responsible for organizing, securing, and maintaining all files and records, including cash and cash equivalents, in strict accordance with company policies and procedures.
A key aspect of this position is the management and analysis of computerized financial information. This includes maintaining accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data, which requires a strong proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. The ability to classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data is essential. This will be achieved through the use of journals, ledgers, and computer systems to compile and sustain comprehensive financial records.
Candidates will also prepare, maintain, and distribute various reports and tables, which may include statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll-related documents. Attention to detail is critical, especially when completing period-end closing procedures and generating reports as specified by company guidelines.
Furthermore, the role encompasses the preparation, review, reconciliation, and issuance of bills, invoices, and account statements in line with established company procedures. This will require a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in English.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel setting. This experience will provide a foundational understanding of the unique financial operations and expectations in a high-end hospitality environment. Fluency in English is essential, as effective communication with both colleagues and management is a crucial component of the role.
A robust understanding of accounting principles and practices is necessary to navigate the complexities of financial data management effectively. Proficiency in accounting software, alongside advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, will enable candidates to perform data analysis, create reports, and maintain financial records with precision and efficiency.
