As a Business Development Representative at Plastic Bank, you will play a crucial role in expanding our network of partnerships by proactively reaching out to potential B2B clients. Your focus will be on generating interest and securing agreements in various industries such as consumer goods, packaging, and retail, all of which can greatly benefit from our innovative sustainable plastic solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities that align with our mission of creating a circular economy for plastics. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering a robust sales pipeline that enables you to consistently exceed sales targets. Your efforts will involve leveraging thorough research to pinpoint prospects who share our commitment to sustainability, ensuring your outreach is tailored to resonate with their specific goals.
Who We’re Looking For
We seek a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, someone who is driven by results and possesses the ability to work independently while taking the initiative to achieve and exceed set targets. While previous experience in outside sales is beneficial, what truly matters is your enthusiasm for sales and your capacity to cultivate meaningful relationships with potential clients.
A proven track record in outbound sales, business development, or similar roles is essential. Experience within the sustainability sector, the circular economy, or social enterprises will be considered an asset. You will thrive in an environment that presents the challenges of outbound sales and will take pride in the connections you build that lead to impactful business collaborations.
A passion for lifelong learning is also essential. We value individuals who exhibit natural curiosity and a desire to continually enhance their skills, whether through reading, coursework, or formal sales training. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required for this role, as effective communication is key in building relationships and delivering our message. Additionally, 1-3 years of IT or technology sales experience is preferred, as familiarity with software sales will help you understand our solutions better.
