Roles and responsibilities

As a game designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and overseeing game features from their initial stages to live implementation, ensuring they align with the overarching vision of the game. Your role will involve developing and balancing intricate game economy systems that facilitate player progression, monetization strategies, and engaging live event experiences tailored to the target audience.

You will create, document, and effectively communicate clear game design proposals while collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including artists, engineers, and data analysts. This collaboration is crucial for achieving seamless implementation of your designs. Utilizing player data, predictive simulations, and feedback loops, you will continuously optimize gameplay, enhance progression systems, and maintain a balanced game economy.

Moreover, you will work in conjunction with Product Managers to translate business objectives into meaningful game metrics and feature designs that resonate with players.

Familiarity with Unity, basic scripting, or programming skills will be considered advantageous. These skills will enhance your ability to implement designs effectively and collaborate with technical teams. Your contribution will be instrumental in creating engaging gameplay experiences that resonate with players, drive monetization, and maintain a vibrant game economy.

Desired candidate profile

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess substantial experience in game design, with a strong understanding of game mechanics, systems, and economy balancing, particularly within free-to-play (F2P) games. A proven track record of designing and balancing scalable game economies that boost player engagement and progression is essential.

You should be proficient with data analysis tools and possess the capability to leverage numerical insights to inform design decisions. Experience working on live mobile games is crucial, as is familiarity with player feedback loops and early testing processes that help iterate and refine game features.

The ability to function both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team is vital for success in this position. You should be adaptable, open to feedback, and capable of collaborating with various team members to achieve shared goals.
