Roles and responsibilities

As a developer focused on ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) solutions, my role involves the development and support of comprehensive systems that enhance trade capture, risk analytics, and reporting functionalities. These systems are critical for businesses operating in the energy sector, where accurate data management and risk assessment are paramount to successful trading strategies.

In my day-to-day activities, I customize and extend existing ETRM systems, specifically targeting platforms like Endur and Allegro. My goal is to tailor these systems to meet unique business requirements, ensuring that they are not only functional but also optimized for the specific needs of trading, risk management, and operational efficiency. This involves a deep understanding of the underlying technology as well as the business processes that drive the energy trading landscape.

A key aspect of my work is collaboration. I regularly engage with business analysts, traders, and risk managers to gather and analyze requirements. This collaborative approach is essential for developing solutions that are both practical and aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. By translating complex business needs into technical specifications, I can implement features that improve user experience and enhance decision-making capabilities.
