We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong understanding of the European Power, Gas, or Oil markets to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the energy trading industry and will play a pivotal role in supporting our trading operations. You will leverage your expertise in platforms like Endur or Allegro to enhance our trading strategies and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with trading, risk management, and operations teams to analyze and optimize trading strategies across the full deal lifecycle.
• Manage and support trading entries, ensuring accurate and timely input into our systems.
• Conduct valuations and risk assessments, providing insights that inform trading decisions and strategies.
• Facilitate confirmations and settlements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Analyze market data feeds to identify trends and inform trading strategies, enhancing our competitive edge in the market.
• Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure platform functionality meets business needs and supports efficient trading operations.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior management, highlighting key insights and actionable strategies.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in the energy trading sector, with a strong understanding of the European Power, Gas, or Oil markets.
• Proficiency in trading platforms such as Endur or Allegro.
• Exposure to at least three aspects of the full deal lifecycle, including Trading Entry, Valuation & Risk Management, Confirmations, Settlements, and Market Data Feeds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
