Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced technical leader to head our team of engineers, driving the creation of exceptional and innovative solutions for our clients. This role requires a passion for game development, a strong technical background, and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

In this leadership position, you will oversee a talented group of engineers, guiding them in the design and implementation of cutting-edge technical solutions tailored to meet client needs. You will facilitate seamless communication between clients, internal teams, management, and individual contributors, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.

A critical part of your role will involve assessing the technical feasibility of proposed features, conducting thorough risk assessments, and defining technical specifications. You will maintain high standards of code quality, reusability, and documentation, setting the benchmark for excellence within your team. Your expertise will also be essential in leading performance evaluations and optimizations across supported platforms, enhancing both customer projects and internal technologies.

As a champion of customer relations, you will cultivate a culture of open, honest, and respectful communication on behalf of your engineering team. This will not only foster a positive working environment but also ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, coupled with substantial experience in the game development industry. A minimum of 10 years in game development is required, with at least 3 years in a leadership or similar role. Experience shipping AAA games on current-generation consoles, such as PS5 and Xbox Series X, as well as on PC using Unreal Engine 4 or 5, is essential.

Strong proficiency in C/C++ is required, along with a solid foundation in performance analysis, optimization, and debugging techniques. Candidates should have a deep understanding of PC and console architecture, memory systems, and best practices for cross-platform development. Your ability to analyze and resolve technical challenges efficiently will be key to your success.

In addition to your technical skills, advanced verbal and written communication abilities are crucial. You will need to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including artists, engineers, and management. Your role as a liaison among these groups will be vital in driving collaboration and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
