Daily Meetings: Attend T&L daily progress meetings to stay updated on ongoing projects and ensure alignment on environmental health objectives.
Job Safety Analysis (JSA): Actively participate in Job Safety Analyses and other hazard reviews as necessary, contributing to the identification and mitigation of potential risks.
Inspections: Conduct inspections related to Environmental Health, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and identifying areas for improvement.
Standards Clarification: Clarify the requirements and standards associated with Environmental Health, providing guidance to team members and stakeholders.
Incident Investigations: Engage in investigations of incidents and near misses to determine underlying causes and prevent future occurrences.
Recommendations: Offer recommendations related to Environmental Health practices, helping to enhance safety and compliance within the organization.
This role plays a vital part in promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the organization. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a proactive approach to Environmental Health challenges, ensuring that all necessary standards are met and that the workplace remains safe and healthy for all employees. Desired Candidate Profile
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Health Studies, or a related field.
Professional Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in the Environmental Health sector or a closely related field is essential.
Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as a Food Hygiene certificate, is highly desirable.
Knowledge Base: Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of emergency response procedures, infection prevention strategies, and hazardous materials management. Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, as well as public health protection protocols, is also important.
Policy Knowledge: An understanding of the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and legal requirements is crucial for ensuring compliance and promoting a safe work environment.
Environmental Standards: Familiarity with company-specific Environmental Health codes, standards, and specifications is required to maintain high operational standards.
Communication Skills: The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in technical English, enabling effective collaboration with engineering peers and other stakeholders.
