Reporting to: Perception Group Leader Oz Sharlin (6) Oz Sharlin LinkedIn
We are seeking an experienced and capable Deep Learning Team Leader to join our R&D team. The Team Leader will manage and guide a team of engineers focused on developing and integrating novel visionbased algorithms for our autonomous driving system with an emphasis on segmentation features for Perception. In addition to leading the team the Team Leader will work handson to research and implement innovative features using stateoftheart deep learning methods.
This is a unique opportunity to work on cuttingedge deep vision methods develop and innovate new ideas and see them deployed on the road in our autonomous vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Managing / technically leading a team of 35 deep learning engineers overseeing technical project management and personal aspects.
- Planning guiding and leading medium to longterm projects involving multiple engineers.
- Seeing projects through from research to deployment.
- Supervising complex data pipelines from the collection stage through annotation to training models.
- Designing and optimizing deep neural networks involving innovative feature engineering.
- Taking an Endto End responsibility over medium to longterm projects
- Devising and implementing performance metrics.
- Communicating presenting and visualizing results.
- Aligning the algorithms with the product needs.
Requirements :
- M.Sc. or equivalent work track experience in CS EE Physics or other quantitative field from a leading university. Ph.D. Advantage
- A proven track record of at least 2 years managing or technically leading a team of engineers from the brainstorm stage to the deployment phase. Candidates with a strong technical background and management potential will also be considered.
- A proven track record of at least 5 years handson experience in developing deep learning algorithms
- Experience / knowledge in computer vision and image manipulation algorithms Segmentation and classification.
- Indepth handson knowledge of deep learning fundamentals.
- Handson experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch Must
- Strong mathematical aptitude with emphasis on probability vector algebra and geometry.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience in conducting longterm development and / or research projects in either academia or industry
- Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
- Availability for a fulltime position from Imagry s office HQ in Haifa
Skills that are considered an advantage:
- Experience in Object Detection
- Publications in toptier journals or conferences on algorithms computer vision or deep learning
- Basic proficiency in C
- Experience with Linux
- Source control with git
- Experience with Jira or similar task management software.
