Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a variety of essential functions, including:

1. Maintaining Financial Records: You will be tasked with ensuring that all financial records and ledgers are accurate and up to date. This involves meticulous tracking of transactions and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support financial statements.

2. Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable: You will oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring that all invoices are processed promptly and payments are made on time. This responsibility includes monitoring outstanding invoices and following up with clients as necessary.

3. Bank Reconciliation: A critical part of your role will involve reconciling bank statements on a monthly basis. You will identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure that our financial records align with bank transactions, helping to maintain our financial integrity.

4. Budget Preparation and Forecasting: You will assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing input and analysis to help guide decision-making. Your analytical skills will be vital in projecting future financial performance based on historical data.

5. Compliance Assurance: It will be your duty to ensure that our accounting practices comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Staying informed about any changes in regulations will be key to maintaining compliance and mitigating risk.

6. Year-End Audit and Tax Preparation Support: You will support the year-end audit processes and assist with tax preparations, collaborating with external auditors and tax professionals as needed. 7. Financial Reporting: The preparation and maintenance of financial reports for management will be an ongoing responsibility. These reports will provide valuable insights into our financial status and inform strategic planning.
