In today’s digital landscape, maintaining and optimizing serverless websites and APIs is essential for scalability and performance. This role involves a combination of technical expertise and strategic development to ensure seamless operation of applications hosted on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serverless Infrastructure Management: You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing serverless websites and APIs utilizing AWS services such as S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and Lambda. This includes monitoring performance metrics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability.

2. Static Website Development: Utilizing Hugo, you will develop, manage, and deploy static websites. This requires a focus on efficient performance and scalability, ensuring that the websites can handle varying loads while providing a fast user experience.

3. Content Management with Webflow: You will leverage Webflow to manage and update specific website components and content as needed. This involves understanding design requirements and ensuring that content is both current and aligned with business goals.

4. Application Code and Database Management: Your role includes managing application code and databases, specifically maintaining and updating Lambda functions. This ensures that all components of the application work seamlessly together and are optimized for performance.

5. API Deployment and Management: You will deploy and manage APIs within AWS environments to support various application functionalities. This includes working closely with stakeholders to understand new requirements and implement solutions that meet evolving business needs.

6. Lambda Function Implementation: As part of your responsibilities, you will implement and deploy new Lambda functions. This requires a keen understanding of the business landscape to address immediate needs and future growth.

Desired candidate profile

Skills Required:

1. Extensive Experience with Hugo: A proven track record in developing and managing static sites using Hugo is crucial. You should be comfortable deploying these sites on AWS, ensuring they meet performance and scalability standards.

2. Familiarity with Webflow: You should possess knowledge of Webflow for managing and updating website content, enabling a smooth user experience and timely updates.

3. Proficiency in Programming Languages: Strong skills in Python and Node.js are essential for building and maintaining serverless functions and APIs. This includes writing clean, efficient code that meets industry standards.

4. Hands-On AWS Experience: A solid understanding of AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and Cognito is necessary. This experience ensures that you can effectively deploy and manage serverless architectures.

5. Version Control with Git: Familiarity with Git is essential for version control and efficient collaboration within a team setting.

6. Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Proficiency with AWS CodePipeline is required for establishing and maintaining CI/CD workflows, ensuring that deployment processes are streamlined and efficient.
