Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Operations Manager (Construction and Demolition Waste) to join our awardwinning team based in Jeddah KSA.
This position will be responsible for overseeing the management collection and processing of construction and demolition (C&D) waste within Jeddah Governorate. This role involves ensuring that C&D waste management operations are efficient compliant with environmental regulations and aligned with the projects sustainability goals.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing waste reduction and recycling efforts.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Managing daily operations related to the collection transportation and disposal of C&D waste.
- Ensuring compliance with local environmental regulations and projectspecific waste management standards.
- Overseeing the implementation of waste reduction and recycling strategies for C&D waste materials.
- Conducting regular site inspections to ensure that C&D waste is managed safely and efficiently.
- Coordinating with contractors and waste management teams to ensure proper sorting recycling and disposal of C&D waste.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of C&D waste operations including key performance indicators (KPIs) related to waste reduction recycling and resource recovery.
- Preparing detailed reports on C&D waste management activities and providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices related to C&D waste management.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 years of experience in construction and demolition waste management or public infrastructure projects partnered with a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Civil Engineering Waste Management or a related field.
Furthermore you should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of waste management regulations recycling processes and environmental compliance standards.
- Experience in managing largescale C&D waste operations and implementing waste reduction strategies.
- Familiarity with C&D waste recycling technologies and sustainable disposal practices.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple operational tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Certification in waste management or environmental compliance (e.g. SWANA ISO 14001) is an advantage.
