Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Expeditor to join our team on Rig. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient management of materials and inventory, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Track and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses. Implement effective strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring all materials are available when needed.

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all materials received and distributed. Utilize inventory management systems to log transactions, track material usage, and facilitate easy access to information for reporting and decision-making.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations required on the rig. Ensure that all safety courses and training are completed and maintained in accordance with industry standards.

• Material Coordination: Collaborate with various teams to coordinate the timely delivery and distribution of materials. Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure the procurement of quality materials, negotiating terms and conditions as necessary.

• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in materials and equipment. Continuously seek out new suppliers and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency of our operations and improve material quality.

• Problem Solving: Address any issues related to inventory discrepancies, material shortages, or delays in delivery. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, material usage, and procurement activities to management. Use data to drive decisions and optimize inventory processes.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Material Expeditor or in a similar logistics role, preferably in the oil and gas or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with all regulations.
