Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate the overall artistic vision for projects ensuring alignment with brand identity and client goals.
- Lead and manage a team of designers illustrators and other creative professionals providing guidance and feedback on their work.
- Foster a collaborative environment to inspire creativity and innovation.
- Oversee the creative process from concept to execution ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g. marketing production) to ensure a cohesive approach to projects.
- Create and present design concepts mockups and prototypes to clients or stakeholders for approval.
- Ensure all visual elements meet quality standards and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends design techniques and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Incorporate relevant trends into projects to enhance creativity and effectiveness.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and expectations providing professional insights and recommendations.
- Manage client feedback incorporating changes while maintaining the projects artistic integrity.
- Assist in developing project budgets and managing resources effectively.
- Monitor project costs to ensure they align with budget constraints.
- Review and approve final designs and presentations ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of project progress and adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in graphic design Fine Arts or a related field.
- Proven experience in a creative role with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite Sketch Figma).
- Preferred Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with web design and digital marketing concepts.
- Knowledge of typography color theory and visual storytelling.
- Typically works in an office setting but may also collaborate remotely with team members and clients.
- May require flexibility to work evenings or weekends based on project deadlines.
