Key Responsibilities:
As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of our Oracle databases. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Certification: You must hold an Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional credential, demonstrating your expertise in database management.
Database Management: You will be proficient in managing Oracle databases, specifically versions 10g and 11g, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively.
Installation and Configuration: You will handle the installation, configuration, and deployment of Oracle 10g and 11g databases, setting up systems that meet our organizational needs.
Data Modeling: Engaging in data modeling, database design, and creation will be a vital part of your role, helping to structure our data effectively.
Database Upgrades: You will perform necessary upgrades and migrations of Oracle databases, ensuring they remain up-to-date with the latest technologies and practices.
Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing robust database backup and recovery strategies will be essential to safeguard our data integrity.
Web Hosting and Technologies: You will collaborate with web hosting environments, utilizing technologies such as clustering, Oracle WebLogic, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, XML, JSP, and PSP to enhance our database capabilities.
Windows Server Management: Utilizing Windows Server for database management and operations will be part of your daily responsibilities, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator is essential, providing you with the necessary skills and insights to excel in this position.
Technical Skills: You should possess in-depth knowledge of Oracle 10g and 11g database management, with hands-on experience in backup and recovery tools.
Data Modeling Expertise: Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles is critical for creating efficient database structures.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities are necessary to address any issues that may arise.
