We are excited to announce an opening for a Computer Network Technician to join our dynamic team in Taif, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation of our network systems, encompassing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Computer Network Technician, you will undertake various responsibilities that are vital to our network operations:

• Network Testing: Utilize advanced network testing devices to assess the integrity of cable and distribution equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.

• Cable Installation: Conduct installations of fiber and UTP cables, including specialized fiber optic work to enhance our connectivity infrastructure.

• Automation and Printing: Manage automated accounts and oversee printing operations to streamline business processes.

• Network Installation: Set up and configure essential network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, to create a robust and efficient network environment.

• Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve network issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous service for users.

• System Maintenance: Regularly monitor network performance and perform maintenance tasks to uphold system reliability and performance standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of network configurations, changes, and performance metrics to support ongoing operations and audits.

• User Support: Provide technical assistance to users regarding network connectivity and related issues, ensuring they can efficiently use the network resources available.

• Network Security: Implement security measures to safeguard the integrity of the network and ensure the confidentiality of data transmitted across it.

• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to assist in the design and implementation of innovative network solutions that meet the organization’s evolving needs.

• Training: Educate staff on proper network usage, best practices, and the importance of adhering to security protocols.

Desired candidate profile

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in network installation and maintenance is essential.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Familiarity with various networking hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities and a demonstrated capacity to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and users.

• Nationality: Preference will be given to Saudi nationals.
