Roles and responsibilities

As we embark on an ambitious feature roadmap, our tech team is expanding rapidly, and we're seeking experienced Software Engineers, particularly in back-end development using Ruby on Rails. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to help shape our product and drive innovative solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll work directly under our Tech Lead, collaborating closely with the Product Manager to review project specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Crafting integration plans and breaking down tasks for efficient execution.
• Estimating project timelines and deliverables.
• Engaging in hands-on coding, including implementation, pull requests, code reviews, and testing.

You'll also be part of a dynamic team, working alongside Michael, our co-founder and CTO, as well as our product and engineering teams, which include web developers, site reliability engineers (SRE), and data scientists.

Desired candidate profile

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are particularly interested in candidates who excel in back-end development but are open to those with full-stack capabilities. To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in software engineering, with a strong focus on back-end or full-stack development. Recent, hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails is essential.
• Startup Acumen: Proven experience in tech startups or similarly fast-paced environments where agility and adaptability are key.
• Large-scale Impact: A track record of developing large-scale products that serve thousands of users.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with fluency in English.
• Ownership: A mindset geared toward ownership and commitment; we want team members who act like owners, not renters.
• Proactive Attitude: A "doer" mindset is crucial, as we prioritize both software craftsmanship and speed.
