We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in delivering innovative and sustainable structural designs across a diverse range of projects. The successful candidate will engage in challenging assignments and collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams and clients, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead the development of structural design concepts and solutions tailored to various project requirements. You will be responsible for interpreting and applying Eurocodes to guarantee that all designs comply with the latest industry standards and regulations. This involves preparing comprehensive drawing packages and technical specifications that are essential for construction.

In this position, you will manage the design process by coordinating efforts among architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless project delivery from conception to completion. Your leadership will extend to contributing to the preparation of detailed reports, calculations, and presentations that effectively communicate design intent and rationale.

Additionally, you will play a vital role in mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team. This includes providing guidance and sharing your technical expertise to foster their professional development and enhance the overall capabilities of our engineering team.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a degree in structural engineering or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is essential, with a preference for candidates who have 7 years or more in the field. Your strong proficiency in Eurocodes and other relevant design codes and standards is crucial for success in this role.

Proven experience in leading and delivering structural designs throughout the RIBA stages of work is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams. The ability to articulate complex engineering concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences is essential.
