We are seeking a dedicated Threat Validation Engineer to join our TechOps team, focusing on a dynamic AdTech project aimed at combating malvertising and safeguarding the internet. Our company is passionate about protecting organizations and users from cyber threats, including bot attacks, data breaches, phishing, and digital fraud. As part of a central unit that drives product strategy and execution, you will collaborate closely with business, engineering, and research teams to enhance our product offerings.

Our mission is to develop and implement advanced technologies that shield clients from various cyber threats. In this role, you will contribute to a project within the AdTech ecosystem, working on solutions that form part of a comprehensive portfolio of software products designed to detect and prevent malicious activities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our systems are effective and responsive to emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities
As a Threat Validation Engineer, you will:
- Analyze and evaluate cyber threats identified in advertisements, focusing on HTML, JavaScript, and CSS elements that violate policies set by advertising platforms.
- Conduct expert analysis to attribute malicious activities to specific Supply Side Platforms (SSPs), Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), Ad Servers, and other relevant advertising frameworks.
- Utilize real-time alerts to perform data analysis, distinguishing between bot attacks—such as Automated Browsing and Misleading User Interfaces—and genuine user traffic.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation that captures critical insights, validation techniques, and operational specifics to facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.
- Collaborate with our US-based engineering teams to drive product improvements related to the identification and attribution of malicious ad creatives.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on work status, ensuring clear communication of findings to stakeholders.
Desired candidate profile
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- Intermediate proficiency in HTML and CSS, enabling effective analysis of web elements.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Bash) to read and understand code.
- Fundamental database management skills, with experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for efficiently diagnosing system and network issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
