What can you expect
This role is responsible for developing the social media strategy for IMEA to meet local business priorities aligned to enterprise wide priorities and developing an efficient and effective operating model to support this strategy across Mercer and Marsh IMEA businesses (to evolve to Marsh McLennan). This includes oversight of and handson work across developing social campaigns publishing content on social media platforms brand reputation management and customer care employee advocacy and paid media. The primary focus is on LinkedIn and secondary focus on channels including Facebook YouTube and Instagram (where applicable) to build the organizations social brand awareness engagement and drive impact aligned to marketing priorities.
This role is also responsible for the execution and facilitation of a busy events calendar across the Middle East region in line with maximizing impact and outcomes through digital channels.
This role requires an individual who is passionate about events and social media and has a proven track record in the B2B space around how social media can drive tangible impact in terms of brand awareness in the marketplace driving target audience engagement internal stakeholder engagement and influence. This role will work in partnership with region/country stakeholders and the IMEA Marketing & Communications leadership team to develop a vision and a strategy underpinned by a sustainable plan to execute that delivers results and reflects best practice and high governance standards. The individual should have practical experience of leading the development and execution of social media strategy building activating and managing across multiple channels. This role reports into the Middle East Marketing and Communications Leader.

Develop and execute an IMEA social media and event strategy focused on activating business priorities to deliver targeted engaging audience centric social media content across company channels via organic and paid strategies aligned with enterprise social media goals/KPIs best practices and governance frameworks.
Develop social media campaigns in support of key business priorities; responsible for both endtoend components from creative development working with internal/external partners through to message development and publishing content to company channels. The role will also work with Marketing teams to advise on best practices and provide direction input and governance around the prioritization of and development of social media content.
Scale the reach of company content with a strong IMEA presence in the enterprise employee advocacy program and in coaching and enabling region/country leaders and SMEs driving colleague engagement and impact by empowering colleagues to showcase Marsh McLennan thought leadership share personal POVs and both lead and participate in conversations with their social networks. Lead local market social media training in support of colleague activation as employee advocates and to build presence of IMEA leadership on social media.
Facilitate and execute across the broad suite of events in the Middle East region covering both Mercer and Marsh entities. Daytoday tasks will range across everything from partnering with the Marketing & Communications team to design the event strategy through to booking venues and vendors.
We will count on you to:
Accountable for social media channel governance brand reputation management and customer care for the IMEA. This includes reviewing current processes for each of Mercer and Marsh to come together with a single operating model. Governance also includes regular monitoring of brand channel footprint and rationalization of current footprint culling underperforming channels and improving resource efficiency
Experience and practical knowledge of primary B2b social media platforms especially LinkedIn Twitter and Facebook.
Strong knowledge and hands on experience working with social media publishing platforms and analysis tools.
A solid understanding of the Middle East event landscape including preferred venues payment processes and event strategies.
Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns.
Developed and managed an employee advocacy program demonstrating best practice and impact.
Monitor and manage reputation risk in social media and be proactive in mitigating impact.
Be a champion for how social media can build both company and personal brand.
