The Position
To receive guests in the most hospitable manner. All guests arriving to the hotel will be welcomed and departing guests farewelled in the most courteous and friendly manner.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To be well groomed at all times; to greet guests with the most hospitable attitude upon arrival at the hotel and to offer assistance at all times
- Maintain the entrance and main door areas to ensure they are clean and tidy free of obstacles and ensure that traffic through the driveway is controlled and organized
- Adhere to guest contact standards at all times
- Provide current knowledge of the services and facilities offered by the Hotel
- Assist guests in and out of taxis and other vehicles and assist to remove baggage from vehicles
- Obtain taxis for guests as required
- Assist guests with requests for transport and other information
- Knowledgeable of the events of the day and of daily Hotel activities
- Knowledgeable of VIP guests and whenever possible address such guests by name
- Has presence and alerts Security or Duty Manager of suspicious looking person(s)
Qualifications :
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Good English language verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cohesively with coworkers and managers as part of a team
- Ability to be attentive to guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to promote positive relations with hotel residents and patrons
- Ability to exercise good judgment with difficult guests
- Understanding and ability to work in a multicultural environment

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum one years experience in the customer service or hospitality industry
