Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Senior PHP Developer with extensive experience in Laravel for an exciting opportunity. Our client requires a dedicated freelancer to join their team on a part-time basis, focusing on code review, bug fixing, and initial assessments of their existing codebase and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code Review: Evaluate the code contributed by the current development team, ensuring it meets high standards of quality and performance.
• Bug Fixing: Identify and resolve any existing bugs within the code, enhancing functionality and user experience.
• Code Assessment: Conduct an initial assessment of the existing code and IT infrastructure, providing recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• API Development: Engage in the development of APIs, contributing to the integration of various systems and services.
• Shopify Integration: If applicable, work on projects related to Shopify, enhancing the client’s e-commerce capabilities.

• Language Requirements:

• German Knowledge: While not mandatory, knowledge of the German language would be beneficial, as it may facilitate communication within the team and with the client.

• Compensation:

• Budget: The budget for this role ranges from €80 to €100 per hour, inclusive of the Uplink fee. This compensation reflects the seniority of the role and the expertise required.

Desired candidate profile

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Laravel: A strong command of Laravel is essential, as it is the primary framework used for development.
• PHP Expertise: Extensive experience with PHP, ensuring robust and maintainable code.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot effectively, and implement efficient solutions.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Shopify Experience: Familiarity with Shopify can be advantageous, particularly in projects related to e-commerce and online sales.
• API Development Knowledge: Experience in designing and implementing APIs would be beneficial.

Engagement Details:

• Start Date: We are looking for candidates who can start as early as October 17, 2024, and no later than November 1, 2024.
• Duration: The initial engagement is for a minimum of three months, with the potential for long-term collaboration based on performance and project needs.
• Workload: After the onboarding phase, the estimated workload will be around 8-10 hours per week, allowing for a flexible work schedule.
• Remote Work: This position allows for full remote work, making it accessible from anywhere.
