Roles and responsibilities

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Developer for an exciting project with our client based in Nuremberg. This role offers the flexibility of 80% remote work, making it an ideal opportunity for those looking to balance their professional and personal commitments.

Project Overview:

• Start Date: November 1, 2024 (earlier availability is preferred)
• Duration: 12 months (with the possibility of extension)
• Location: 80% remote (client is located in Nuremberg)
• Language Requirement: Proficiency in German is essential

Key Responsibilities:

As the Lead Java Developer, you will be responsible for:

1. Conception and Development: You will play a crucial role in the conception and further development of online services. Your expertise will guide the design and implementation of robust, scalable applications that meet client needs.

2. Technical Management: You will lead and manage the development teams, ensuring that project milestones are met and best practices are adhered to. Your leadership will foster collaboration and innovation within the team.

3. Troubleshooting and Documentation: You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues as they arise, providing technical guidance and solutions. Additionally, thorough documentation of processes and systems will be required to ensure clarity and continuity throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile:

To be successful in this role, we expect the following qualifications and experiences:

• Experience as Lead Java Developer: You should have substantial experience in leading Java development projects, demonstrating a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.

• Proficiency with Kafka: Your expertise in Apache Kafka is essential, as it will be a critical component of the data streaming and processing within the project.

• Familiarity with AWS/S3: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and specifically S3 for storage solutions is required.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes: Understanding Kubernetes for container orchestration will be beneficial, as it relates to deploying and managing applications in the cloud.

• CI/CD and GitHub: Proficiency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and experience using GitHub for version control is essential.
