We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-oriented Solutions Engineer to join our growing team focused on pre-sales for the Phrase Platform. This role plays a critical part in the success of our sales process, acting as a technical expert and consultant to prospective clients.
As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with the sales team to understand the business needs of potential customers, demonstrate the value of Phrase’s localization platform, and provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with account executives to lead technical discussions and solution discovery during the pre-sales process.
- Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements to highlight the value of the Phrase Platform.
- Understand customer needs and translate them into tailored solutions using the Phrase Platform’s capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and customer success, to align on customer requirements and potential custom solutions.
- Provide strategic input to sales teams on key opportunities and support qualification efforts to ensure fit with the Phrase Platform.
- Act as the technical advisor, addressing customer questions and overcoming objections during the sales process.
- Create and deliver technical proposals, RFP responses, and detailed solution documentation to support the sales process.
- Stay current on localization trends and technologies to inform both internal teams and clients about the latest best practices.

Desired candidate profile
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a related pre-sales role, ideally within the localization industry or SaaS.
- Strong understanding of localization workflows and technology, with hands-on experience in translation management systems (TMS) being a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams, demonstrating a consultative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience working closely with sales teams to drive opportunities to closure.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously, while ensuring client satisfaction and timely delivery of results.
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with the Phrase Platform or other localization tools.
- Experience with APIs, scripting, and other technical integrations.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
