Position Overview:
The Production Rider Drawing Designer for Stainless Steel Commercial Kitchen Equipment is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and production rider documentation that guide the manufacturing of highquality stainless steel kitchen products. This role ensures that all designs are precise meet industry standards and are produced efficiently. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment design production processes and materials along with proficiency in SOLID WORKS AND CAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Technical Drawings: Create detailed production rider drawings including layouts sections elevations and assembly details for commercial kitchen equipment such as sinks tables cabinets and cooking units.
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering Teams: Work closely with the production and engineering teams to gather information understand project specifications and incorporate feedback into designs.
- Prepare Production Riders: Develop production riders and documentation that detail the production process materials welding requirements finishes and other specifications for stainless steel products.
- Ensure Design Accuracy and Compliance: Validate that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations for commercial kitchen equipment including hygiene safety and durability requirements.
- Optimize Designs for Manufacturing: Recommend adjustments to designs to enhance manufacturability reduce production time and minimize material waste ensuring costeffective production.
- Document Management and Control: Organize and maintain drawing files ensuring proper documentation version control and easy accessibility for the production team.
- Support Production: Provide support during production to resolve any designrelated queries or challenges that arise on the shop floor.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of all drawings to identify and resolve potential design or production issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek ways to improve design quality efficiency and the production documentation process.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Design Industrial Design or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in technical drawing or production design preferably in commercial kitchen equipment or related stainless steel products.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with drawing management software is a plus.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of stainless steel material properties production processes and fabrication techniques specific to commercial kitchen equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and precision in technical drawings with a strong focus on hygiene and safety compliance.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with crossfunctional teams including production engineering and quality assurance.
- ProblemSolving Ability: Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving designrelated issues during the production process.
Preferred:
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment standards including NSF/ANSI regulations.
- Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques specific to stainless steel kitchen products.
