Roles and responsibilities

As an integral member of our hospitality team, the Assistant Security Manager/Director of Security plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property. This position requires close collaboration with the Director of Security, the Director of Engineering, and various management personnel to ensure a comprehensive approach to security and safety measures across our resort.

Key Responsibilities

Communication and Coordination

• Keep the Director of Security informed of all security-related matters.
• Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to coordinate responsibilities related to fire and security.
• Liaise with management personnel, employees, and local law enforcement to address security concerns and loss control issues.

Training and Development

• Provide training to security personnel on resort regulations, fire prevention, safety procedures, and emergency response techniques, including basic firefighting and lifesaving skills.
• Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about daily operations and the facilities offered by the hotel.

Emergency Preparedness

• Maintain preparedness for all emergency situations by following established procedures.
• Evaluate potential threats to security on an ongoing basis and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.

Record Keeping and Reporting

• Supervise the daily processing and distribution of security reports to management.
• Maintain confidentiality of all records and reports concerning security matters and resort operations.

Team Collaboration

• Show full cooperation and respect within the team and across departments, fostering a positive working environment.
• Attend training sessions as scheduled and participate in regular team meetings and events to promote camaraderie and team spirit.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills and strong customer service orientation are essential.
• Ability to build effective relationships with team members, management, and external agencies.
