This involves loading and unloading items from the vehicle with care to prevent damage. Accuracy is crucial, so you will need to verify the orders before heading out and collect payments as required.
Navigating delivery routes is a key part of the job. Utilizing GPS and other navigation tools will help you find the most efficient paths to ensure timely deliveries. It's also essential to adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations while driving and parking, as this not only ensures your safety but also reflects positively on the company.
In addition to delivery duties, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle is important. A tidy vehicle promotes professionalism and enhances customer perception. Excellent customer service is paramount, as you will be representing the company during interactions with customers. This includes being courteous and professional at all times, even in challenging situations.
If you encounter any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents, it’s your responsibility to report these to management promptly to ensure continued safety and efficiency in operations.
During slower periods, you may also be required to assist with additional restaurant duties. This can include preparing dough balls, filling sauces, unpacking items, cutting vegetables, refilling the kitchen makeline, preparing pizza boxes, or taking orders from customers either at the door or over the phone. Your versatility in handling these tasks contributes to the overall success of the team.
