Roles and responsibilities

Join our dynamic Customer Solutions & Success Team at Virtuozzo as a Senior Solution Architect / Sales Engineering Lead. We are on the lookout for an experienced professional who is passionate about helping customers unlock the full potential of our innovative cloud solutions. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key player and mentor within the team, leading by example and driving successful outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing comprehensive cloud platform solutions tailored to meet specific business requirements. This involves:

  • Cloud Platform Solution Design: Crafting effective architectures that align with client needs and optimizing performance and scalability.
  • Scoping and Sizing: Assessing project requirements to accurately estimate resource needs and ensuring feasibility for implementation.
  • Architecture Planning: Collaborating with clients to understand their business goals and creating a robust architecture plan that supports these objectives.
  • Solution Advisory/Consultancy: Providing expert guidance to clients on best practices, implementation strategies, and optimization of cloud environments.
  • Solution Documentation: Developing detailed documentation to support project implementation, ensuring clarity and consistency across the team.
  • Team Management: Leading the team in process optimization, mentoring junior staff, and overseeing the onboarding of new team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Collaboration with Sales Teams: Engaging closely with sales to support pre-sales activities, addressing technical inquiries, and contributing to proposal development.
  • Client Presentations and Workshops: Conducting workshops and presentations to showcase Virtuozzo’s solutions, articulating value propositions effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Essential Skills

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Deep Cloud Technology Acumen: A strong understanding of cloud technologies, architectures, and trends, enabling you to provide informed solutions.
  • Customer and Sales Focus: A commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and aligning solutions with their strategic goals.
  • C-Level Communication: The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience with Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Environments: Familiarity with integrating various cloud services and managing resources across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting Abilities: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges to ensure seamless project execution.

Technology Expertise

Your technical expertise should encompass:

  • Public & Private Cloud: Proficiency in cloud infrastructure and services, including design, deployment, and management.
  • Virtualization Technologies: Hands-on experience with solutions like OpenStack, VMware, Proxmox, and Hyper-V.
  • Software-Defined Storage & Networking: Knowledge of modern storage and networking solutions that enhance cloud performance and flexibility.
