Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detailoriented Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of specialized experience in procurement within the electromechanical contracting industry. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement processes ensuring costeffective purchasing of materials and services and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement process from identifying procurement needs to contract management ensuring timely and costeffective acquisition of materials and services.
Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers evaluate market trends and maintain a comprehensive database of reliable suppliers.
Cost Control: Implement costsaving strategies without compromising on quality ensuring optimal use of company resources.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels ensuring the availability of necessary materials while minimizing excess stock.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments including engineering project management and finance to align procurement activities with project needs and company objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: Ideally a bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 35 years of experience in a procurement role within the electromechanical contracting industry in the GCC region.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Indepth knowledge of the electromechanical contracting industry.
Understanding of local and international procurement regulations and standards.
Personal Attributes:
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
