Roles and responsibilities

As a Business Continuity Officer, you will play a vital role in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of business continuity plans, ensuring our organization is well-prepared to handle disruptive events. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify risks, establish effective recovery strategies, and conduct regular training sessions and exercises to bolster organizational resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in exercises, drills, and simulations, ensuring timelines are met, action logs are maintained, and supporting report generation is completed.
  • Assist in raising employee awareness regarding Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management protocols.
  • Manage procurement tasks for the team, track budgets, handle invoice management, and support other administrative functions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain the department's online portals, ensuring accessibility and up-to-date information for all stakeholders.
  • Support visa renewal processes and gate pass arrangements for consultants as required..
  • We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a clear focus on our continuity objectives. Your analytical mindset and communication skills will be crucial in translating complex concepts into actionable plans, ensuring all team members are equipped to handle potential disruptions confidently.

Desired candidate profile

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to understand and document workflows and business processes effectively.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional qualifications in Business are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems (QMS) is preferred.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the organization not only responds effectively to crises but also learns and adapts from each event, reinforcing a culture of preparedness. You will be expected to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate with various departments to promote a comprehensive understanding of business continuity practices.
