Position Overview:
As a Regulatory Research Analyst, you will play a key role in legal research and regulatory analysis within various domains, including environmental, health and safety (EH&S), chemical control, cosmetics, food safety, occupational safety, and pharmaceutical regulations in the EMEA region. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis of laws, regulations, and standards specifically focusing on the Middle East and Africa (MEA) regarding chemical management and food regulation databases.
- Preparing regulatory news updates and summaries about changes and developments in the MEA region, including anticipated legislation.
- Compiling and organizing information from relevant laws, regulations, and standards to support our clients' product lines and services.
- Conducting research on regulatory frameworks to aid new company initiatives in areas such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), sustainability, PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
- Providing clients with thorough regulatory analysis and compliance requirements pertaining to MEA rules and regulations.
Desired candidate profile
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Environmental Science, Health Sciences, Political Science, or International Affairs.
- A minimum of two years of regulatory or legal experience, preferably in the EH&S sector.
- A background in law, legislation, or chemistry is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Skills:
- Excellent comprehension skills for reading English documents; fluency in oral and written English is essential.
- Proficiency in Arabic is mandatory; Turkish language skills are a plus.
- Strong aptitude for interpreting regulations into data formats.
- Ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Experience in legal or chemical regulatory environments in the Middle East and Africa is preferred.
- Capacity to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
