Position Summary
The Procurement Manager will oversee all procurement activities for the company ensuring that materials and services are acquired efficiently costeffectively and in accordance with company standards. This role requires strong leadership strategic thinking and a deep understanding of procurement processes. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing a team of procurement professionals and developing and implementing procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the companys overall business objectives.
Team Management: Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals providing guidance training and support.
Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers ensuring that they meet quality delivery and pricing requirements.
Cost Reduction: Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the procurement function.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities such as supplier performance supply chain disruptions and contract disputes.
Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement activities and monitor supplier performance.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and ensure that materials are available as needed to support operations.
Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers ensuring that they are fair legal and beneficial to the company.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement management preferably in the construction or event services industry.
Proven experience managing procurement teams and projects.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
