Roles and responsibilities
As a data migration specialist, you will review, analyze, and summarize clauses from a wide range of contracts— including Patent License Agreements, IT Procurement Agreements, Software and Data License Agreements, and other commercial contracts— to ensure accurate data transfer and integration. You should accurately identify and escalate issues related to documentation and contractual hierarchy during the migration process. Collaborating with a team of lawyers on data abstraction and due diligence projects, you will provide professional and timely support to Delivery Managers to aid Client Contacts and Onshore teams. Your role also involves managing deadlines without delays, actively participating in mandatory and optional training, maintaining precise logs of time spent on activities, and ensuring quality control of migrated data and associated documentation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to review, analyse and summarise clauses and key meta data from a wide range of contracts like IT Procurement Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Software and Data License Agreements, Vendor Services Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Purchase and Licence Agreements, Sponsor Research Agreements, Inter Institutional Agreements, Supply and Distribution Agreements, Staffing, Consulting and Teaming Agreements, Lease Agreements, Estoppel and SNDA and other commercial contracts.
- Deep understanding of data extraction and contract migration between CLM platforms and/or contract repository.
- Should be able to identify accurately/escalate issues relating to the documentation and contractual hierarchy.
- Act as a team player while working with a team of lawyers on several abstraction and due diligence projects in conjunction with the project team to upload the agreements described above.
- Provide professional, timely, and prompt service and responses to the Delivery Managers so that they can support the Client Contact and the Onshore teams.
- Manage deadlines without delivery delays escalate client issues promptly and appropriately, consistently complete real time client call notes.
- Attend and participate actively in mandatory and non- mandatory training and if required, certification courses.
- Maintain an accurate log of time spent on each activity and follow process and protocol in a consistent and timely manner.
- Quality check and control on work product and feedback documentation
Desired candidate profile
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in law
- Should have min. 3 to 5 years of experience in Contract Abstraction and Migration..
- CLM tool experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Capability to learn and adapt to different contract management platforms, CLM Tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills enabling efficient comprehension of clients' documents, codes, abstracts, and other deliverables.

- Team Player - Ability to co-operate and work as a team member and encourage colleagues, maintain a positive attitude, contributing to the team morale.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
