Roles and responsibilities

The Senior Product Designer will play a crucial role in our Tech Products Group, contributing to the development and execution of our product design strategy. Reporting to the Principal Designer, this individual will be instrumental in crafting user experiences and interfaces for a range of digital products across various industries, including web, mobile, AR/XR interfaces, and AI-driven platforms. The Senior Product Designer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our products are intuitive, engaging, and aligned with the latest design trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Strategy: Develop and refine design strategies for a variety of digital products, ensuring a consistent and engaging user experience across all platforms.

Project Leadership: Lead and execute design projects from concept through to completion, including user research, prototyping, testing, and iteration.

Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to integrate user-centered design principles into product development.

Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in product design, particularly in areas such as AR/XR, voice interfaces, and AI-driven interactions, applying these insights to design projects.

User Research: Conduct user research and testing to validate design decisions, using data to inform and guide design improvements.

Mentorship: Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their design capabilities.

Workshops & Sprints: Facilitate workshops and design sprints to foster creativity and innovation within the design team.

Industry Adaptability: Adapt design approaches based on the needs of different industries, ensuring relevant and impactful solutions.

Desired candidate profile

Design Proficiency: Strong proficiency in product design processes and tools, with the ability to lead design projects from ideation to implementation.

Platform Familiarity: Familiarity with designing for various platforms, including web, mobile, and emerging technologies like AR/XR and AI interfaces.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a user-centered approach to design.

Collaboration: Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Mentorship: Ability to mentor and inspire junior designers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment.

Versatility: Experience working across different industries, with the ability to adapt design strategies to meet industry-specific challenges.

Extensive Experience: 5+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio demonstrating a breadth of experience across different platforms, technologies, and industries.

Research & Prototyping: Experience with user research, prototyping, and usability testing, with a track record of using data to inform design decisions.

Industry Experience: Prior experience working in a tech-focused or digital media environment is preferred.
