The First Aid Doctor will provide immediate medical care to students and staff at BMC. This role involves essing and treating minor injuries and illnesses offering health education and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clinic users.
Main Responsibilities:
- Patient essment: Conduct initial essments of students presenting with injuries or acute illnesses determining the need for treatment.
- Emergency Care: Provide first aid treatment for injuries allergic reactions and other urgent health issues.
- Health Education: Educate students on injury prevention wellness practices and when to seek further medical istance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and referrals as needed.
- Doentation: Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of all patient interactions and treatments provided.
- Emergency Preparedness: Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response protocols and training for staff.
- Inventory Management: ist in managing medical supplies and ensuring the clinic is adequately stocked with necessary first aid materials.
- Promotion of Health Services: Advocate for and promote the use of clinic services to enhance student health and wellbeing.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with relevant training in first aid and emergency care.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting preferably with experience in student health or emergency medicine.
- Ss: Strong clinical ss excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
