الوصف الوظيفي
- Perform a physical assessment on each patient paying special attention to the skin.
- Assist the senior dermatologist nurse in the performance of skin exams monitor and record a patients medical history and be aware of relevant test results.
- Assist the senior dermatologist nurse with outpatient and surgical dermatology procedures.
- Provide pre and postoperative care for clients who are undergoing treatment for a variety of skin conditions and diseases.
- Assist with procedures using specialized medical equipment including cosmetic dermatology.
- Assess monitor and treat skin wounds mainly burns.
- Perform wound care and be familiar with many types of dressings topical medications and wound care routines.
- Be familiar with how to treat acne specific acne medications and their risks and alternative topical medications.
- Educate each patient on how to protect their skin and care for skin diseases and conditions at home.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate Degree program.
- A Registered Nurse license.
- 2 years of experience as a Dermatology Nurse.
- Good command of English. Arabic is a plus.
- Compassion and patience to deal with patients who may be upset or frightened.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Great attention to detail both in examining skin and in managing a person s health records.
- The physical stamina to perform detailed operations that require great focus while standing for extended periods of time.
- Organizational and timemanagement skills to deal with the many aspects of the job that must be handled daily.
