Job Purpose

Provide specialistadvice and work alongside the Data Scientist Specialist incompleting data preparation, data sourcing and data cleansingactivities as it relates to the current QG IT platform.

PerformArtificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) jobs as andwhen requested.Job Context & Major Challenge(s) -I
• Role is responsible for using large data sets to locateopportunities for process optimization and using models to test theeffectiveness of different courses of action.
• Majorchallenge of the role include; (1) using a variety of data miningor data analysis methods utilizing a variety of data tools, (2)building and implementing models and using and creating algorithms,(3) creating and running simulations for complex InformationTechnology scenarios and solutions.Key Job Accountabilities -I
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization toidentify opportunities for leveraging company data to drivebusiness solutions.
• Analyze and examine data from companydatabases to drive optimization and improvement of productdevelopment, marketing techniques and businessstrategies.
• Assess and advise regarding the effectivenessand accuracy of new data sources and data gatheringtechniques.
• Develop and analyze custom data models andalgorithms to apply to data sets.
• Prepare and utilizepredictive modeling techniques to increase and optimize customerexperiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other businessoutcomes.
• Develop company A / B testing framework and testmodel quality.
• Provide advice and coordinate withdifferent functional teams to implement models and monitor theiroutcomes.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor andanalyze model performance and data accuracyQualifications
• Bachelor's degree Computer Science / Engineering, InformationTechnology, Information Systems or other relevant disciplineKnowledge and / or Experience - I
• 8 years' of ITexperience within Oil & Gas industry with specificexperience establishing IT Systems and Applications.
• Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques : GLM / Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining andsocial network analysis.
• Excellent understanding ofmachine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, NaiveBayes, SVM & Decision Forests.
• Experience withcommon data science toolkits and data visualizationtools.
• Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL,Hive, Pig and SAP HANA.
• Experience with NoSQL databases,such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase and SAP HANA.Technical andBusiness Skills - I
• High standard of written and SpokenEnglish.
• Computer Literacy (MS Office) including the useof software applications and SAP modules.
• Awareness inapplying standards, practices, codes, assessment and certificationprograms relevant to the IT industry.
• Compliance towardsIT and business continuity risks and theirmitigation
