The Thermal Spray operator will work with respective cell leader of the Qatar Service Center to make sure all company standards and Organizational need are met.
As a Thermal Spray Operator, you will be responsible for:
• Operating, programing and maintaining specialized thermal spray equipment in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
• Preparing laboratory samples / approval of new sprays and processes.
• Working with cell leader in the development of required fixtures for new product lines.
• Performing part changeovers and of work according to product specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
• Performing all work in accordance with plant safety rules and maintains highest quality standards in the of all assigned work.
• Performing routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow.
• Preparing components (masking and surface preparation)
• Blending/Polishing to remove overspray by using pneumatic grinders
• Vacuum furnace operations as requires
• Maintaining a clean work area and contribute towards overall housekeeping efforts and other duties as needed
• Updating digital shop systems related to assigned work (Digital Work Order, Time Vouchering, Operation completion)
• Ensuring the work area is compliance with HSE requirement
Fuel your passion
• Have Diploma or GED.
• Have strong shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions required.
• Have experience for 5 years in coatings of gas turbine components.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and coating specifications.
• Have operation and programming of CNC equipment or production robots.
• Tactical with a sense of urgency
