The Director of Sales & Community Outreach is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies growing revenue and expanding the organizations outreach programs. This position plays a key role in increasing market share building community relationships and representing the brand at a regional or national level. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strong sales experience and a deep understanding of community engagement ensuring that business growth is aligned with social impact goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities markets and partnerships to expand sales reach.
- Lead mentor and motivate the sales team to drive performance and hit individual and team KPIs.
- Monitor sales metrics analyze performance data and adjust strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage key accounts and establish longterm relationships with partners and clients.
- Community Outreach:
- Design and lead community outreach programs to strengthen the companys presence and reputation within local and regional communities.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations nonprofits and local businesses.
- Collaborate with marketing and public relations teams to organize and promote community events sponsorships and initiatives.
- Serve as the face of the company at community events trade shows and public speaking engagements.
- Develop strategic partnerships that align community outreach with business growth objectives.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with outreach campaigns.
- Collaborate with product and service teams to ensure offerings meet the needs of the community and sales channels.
- Partner with leadership to ensure that outreach efforts align with the companys mission and vision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Communications or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
- 7 years of sales experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in community outreach or related social impact programs.
- Strong understanding of sales cycles business development and account management.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in nonprofit collaboration or social responsibility programs.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to create and manage budgets related to sales and outreach programs.
Working Conditions:
- Regular travel to attend community events client meetings and conferences.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when necessary for community events.
