Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as a Flight Crew Service Support Manager.
As a Flight Crew Service Support Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationship between the company and the Flight Crew population by addressing their welfare issues raised by the latter right from the time they come to Doha as candidates for an interview and subsequently join the company. You will also be responsible for effective management of all welfare services to Flight Crew, providing direct leadership to a team of support staff and in developing Flight Crew welfare policies and procedures.
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
• Ascertain smooth/ stress free entry of new joiners in order to facilitate flight crew to focus into their initial training without being wired by other possible issues pertaining to residential permit issuance, driving license, bank accounts, children’s school etc.
• Manage the welfare support operations ensuring the day to day key deliverables e.g. induction of new hires and welfare related issues of current pilots pertaining to sickness, accommodation, leave etc. are achieved.
• Manage all authorizations for HR related decisions pertaining to crew such as rostering, emergency/ compassionate/ sick leave, loss of documents etc.
• Prepare and maintain a Flight Crew Service Support manual in line with HR policies and procedures to ensure uniformity and consistency.
• Provide appropriate and swift response in support of crisis situations occurring to Flight Crew both inside and outside the organization.
• Manage and control daily roster disruption issues including sickness and non-availability for duty and report to the Fleet to arrive at a decision.
