The Campus Nurse at Oryx Universal College provides primary healthcare services promotes health education and ensures the wellbeing of students faculty and staff on campus. This role involves direct healthcare emergency response and health counseling within the college community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students faculty and staff in case of injury or acute illness.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Manage and operate the campus health clinic maintaining supplies and ensuring the clinic is prepared for emergencies.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments and monitor the health status of individuals with chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement health and wellness programs and workshops to promote healthy lifestyles among the college community.
- Maintain confidential health records and ensure compliance with health data privacy regulations.
- Liaise with local healthcare providers and hospitals to coordinate external medical care and emergency services as needed.
- Provide support and health education to students with special health needs.
- Collaborate with Academic Registrar and People & Culture Coordinator to develop policies and procedures that promote health and safety on campus.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited university.
- Valid nursing license from the candidates home country.
- Successful completion of the Qatar Prometric examination for nurses.
- At least three years of professional nursing experience preferably in an educational or community health setting.
- Proficient in emergency response with strong clinical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse population.
- Experience with healthcare IT systems and electronic health record management.
- Knowledgeable in developing and implementing health promotion and wellness programs.
- Ability to work independently and manage health clinic operations with minimal supervision.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are highly desirable.

Work collaboratively with the college administration to formulate health and safety policies and procedures.
