Location: Near Lockport Illinois
Job Type: FullTime
Commitment: Remainder ofSchool Year
Our team is in search of a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our middle school team. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a selfcontained or inclusive classroom setting. The role involves working with students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) creating and implementing instructional plans and collaborating with general education teachers and support staff.
Job Description:
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs.
- Manage classroom behaviors through positive behavioral supports and interventions.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and interventions to support students with disabilities.
- Deliver individualized instruction based on student IEPs that aligns with district and state curriculum standards.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Illinois Teaching Certification in Special Education
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
