Job Title: Field Service Representative

Type: Full Time

Location: Al Taif KSA

RollsRoyce Saudi Arabia Limited (RRSAL) is providing a support service to the Royal Saudi Air Force for its fleet of Typhoon Aircraft Eurojet EJ200 engines. You will be part of a team delivering a propulsion system availability service and will be involved in all aspects of engine repair and servicing at both O and I maintenance levels. The role will be based in the Typhoon Propulsion Support Facility (TPSF) located on King Fahad Air Base (KFAB) Taif and will require travel and rotational deployments to support operations at other bases in country.

The TPSF function provides the engine availability service which is supported by both on wing and off wing engine inspection and repair capabilities which the technicians role will be central to. The various aspects of the role include (i) Propulsion Repair (ii) Engine Health Monitoring (iii) Logistics (iv) Engine AGE maintenance and calibration and (v) Support to O level.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide advice and technical support to Customers and other FSRs and Field Service Technicians.
  • Carry out technical analyses on products in service report on their operation feedback findings requests technical responses and InService Concessions in a clear / coherent manner and IAW published processes.
  • Based on Service knowledge and operating experience ensure all opportunities to provide feedback and develop maintenance improvements is fed back to the Design Authority
  • Capable of troubleshooting engine maintenance issues using approved fault isolation recommend corrective actions and solve complex technical problems with limited or no support.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the applicable Maintenance Policies RRMS Regulatory Authority advice and HS&E policies.
  • Ensure that the Operations Manager is kept informed and briefed on the progress of all Maintenance tasks plus escalation of any issues requiring additional support or impacting the contracted Service Delivery.
  • As appropriate be capable of leading / directing a team in inspection diagnostics maintenance repair and problem resolution within a defined maintenance task of defined workscope.
  • Support and where appropriate lead business improvement initiatives and activities.
  • Champion knowledge sharing and onthejob employee development undertaking the role of Mentor where appropriate.
  • Provide informal OJT training to internal and external individuals as required.

In order to provide the required customer service which will be expected to run 24 hours per day 7 days a week there is requirement to work flexibly and participate in call out or night shift duties as part of a rotating shift pattern or when required.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree Bachelor degree or country equivalent in related Engineering discipline.
  • Formal education may be compensated by evidence of technical competence gained through experience working for an internationally recognised aircraft propulsion maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation and/or military maintenance facility.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Aero Gas Turbine Engines System Function Support and Maintenance at ML1 2 & 3.
  • Excellent knowledge of Regulatory requirements in relation to operating in a MRP145 or similar environment.
  • Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written English language.
  • Good IT skills and systems knowledge.
  • Good understanding of Customer Support contracting KPI delivery and Commercial Awareness.
  • Good work ethic able to work under pressure as an individual or as part of a team.
