Property development and management company is looking to hire an experience BuildingMaintenance Tech to manage 2 residential buildings on the east side of Milwaukee. These buildings are 23 years old and Class A properties. The Tech will be responsible for all basic plumbing HVAC and electrical repairs and for unit turns.
Responsibilities of the Building Maintenance Tech:
- Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
- Must be courteous polite and efficient at all times
- Preparation of vacant units for occupancy including coordination of third party vendors
- Estimate time and extent of repairs
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
- Maintain material and supply inventory
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
- Available to respond to emergency calls after hours
Requirements
Qualifications of the Building Maintenance Tech:
- Must be a self starter
- Ability to use computer software programs
- Experience in maintenance or other related fields (5 years)
- Ability and skills in using maintenance tools and equipment such as drills saws voltage meters drain cleaner snow blowers etc.
- HVAC electrical and plumbing knowledge necessary
- EPA Certification preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions procedure manuals and blue prints
- Ability to apply common sense
- Ability to adjust work load and shift priorities when required
- Reliable transportation and valid
- Possess small tools
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Physically capable of lifting at least 50 pounds
- Possess a valid driver s license and insurance
- Deadline and detailoriented
