Summary
The lead Sales Analyst role is Customer facing staff responsible for winning business and will develop operational plan for assigned area as well as contribute to overall plan of larger SA based external salesforce. Lead Sales Analyst role will require indepth conceptual and practical knowledge of the product lines services and market within assigned area and will solve complex problems by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience sound judgment and precedents. The Lead Sales Analyst must have a strong understanding of key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
Job Responsibilities
  • Travel within sales area to meet prospects and customers
  • Conduct calls and facetoface meetings with customers daily
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts
  • Educate customers on how HMH products can benefit them
  • Sell the companys products or services to existing customers and develop drive and implement new customer acquisition plan
  • Monitor the companys industry competitors new products and market conditions to understand a customers specific needs
  • Formulates and executes proposal strategy and sales agreements within sales area. Formulates deal structure pricing proposal development.
  • Identifies new opportunities with functional partners to develop new products and services for business growth.
  • Within a geographic area responsible for selling product(s) services parts solutions or projects as well as new customer acquisition
  • Handles products and systems requiring technical knowledge. Some customization within guidelines can be done.
  • Contributes to frameworks for prices and conditions. There is room for negotiating and client specific conditions.
  • Handles diverse clients in a region.
  • Leads a department with large estimated orders.
  • Handles local focus on Medium to Large size domestic area
  • Review historical sales trends research demand drivers prepare forecast data develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results. Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 12 years of relevant experience)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant professional level experience
  • Skills and Abilities: Recognized as an expert within the company and requires indepth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function. Impacts the direction and resource allocation for program project or services; works within general functional policies and industry guidelines. Ability to communicate complex ideas anticipate potential objections and persuade others often at senior levels to adopt a different point of view.
