Established more than 20 years ago our client located on the Nassau/Suffolk County border (RT 110 Corridor) is a fullservice environmental and construction firm. They are currently looking for a Director of Construction. This position is hybrid.
MUST LIVE WITHIN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE OFFICE.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and directs any field personnel through the Operations Manager and/or Project Managers. (Minimize direct involvement with field personnel)
- Oversees and Participates in Project Buyouts by monitoring the PM s
- Coordinate Transfer meetings with Estimating Office Manager and PM s
- Work with Ownership with the prioritization of projects and monitor the volume of work and progress of the construction schedule
- Oversees monthly Crew Chief meetings that are run by Operations.
- Gross Profit Review two times a month (midmonth and by month close)
- Responsible for Customer collections/billing
- Ensures that all jobs are assigned to a Project Manager and they maintain fiscal control
- Oversee all new and current Subcontractor relations and communicate the status of projects effectively between vendors subcontractors etc.
- Develop and manage Division budgets for the Construction Dept.
- Provide detailed reports that will include breakdowns of project costs and forecasts of remaining costs.
- Documents data and statistical procedures to provide cost analysis and reporting to assist Ownership in decisionmaking or other financial initiatives.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews with individuals within the Construction Division.
- Ensure employee compliance with all company policies
- Manage individual team members (office staff) with focus lists
