- Develop and prepare traditional Lebanese ice cream flavors using authentic methods and recipes.
- Experiment with new recipes and flavors while maintaining the traditional essence ensuring the highest quality and consistency of all products.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies ensuring freshness proper storage and tracking materials in the warehouse.
- Oversee the daily operations of the ice cream kitchen including cleanliness safety protocols and scheduling of kitchen employees.
- Collaborate with the team to design an engaging and appealing menu including menu creation and costing.
- Train and mentor junior staff in ice cream preparation and techniques ensuring they maintain standards and follow industry best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations related to ice cream making incorporating new ideas while preserving traditional methods.
- Work flexibly including weekends and holidays as per shop needs to ensure continuous operation and customer satisfaction.
- Problemsolve effectively to maintain a high standard in all aspects of production from flavor development to daily kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Culinary degree with proven experience as an Ice Cream Chef specifically in traditional Lebanese or Oriental ice cream.
- At least 5 years of experience with one of the wellknown names in the traditional Lebanese ice cream field.
- Strong knowledge of ice creammaking techniques including ingredient handling flavor development recipe creation and menu costing.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently maintain a clean and organized workspace and lead a team.
- Experience in scheduling kitchen employees and managing suppliers.
- Native Arabic speaker with a good command of English.
- Creative mindset with the ability to innovate while respecting traditional methods.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as per shop needs.
Proven experience as an Ice Cream Chef with a focus on traditional Lebanese or Oriental ice cream. Strong knowledge of ice cream making techniques, including ingredient handling and flavor development. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality ice cream.
