الوصف الوظيفي

Job Summary:

The General Ledger Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the companys financial records. This position is responsible for managing the general ledger ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. The ideal candidate will have experience in both agriculture and manufacturing industries and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the general ledger including posting journal entries reconciling accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
  • Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Conduct monthly and yearend closing processes including preparing balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements credit card statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and analyze financial data from various departments to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes providing accurate financial information to support decisionmaking.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
  • Prepare audit schedules and assist with external audits ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records including supporting documentation for journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 35 years of experience in general ledger accounting preferably in the agriculture or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Understanding of agriculture industryspecific accounting practices is highly desirable.
